Thomas E. Brenner

Thomas E. Brenner was born in Hanover, Pennsylvania. He was admitted to the bar in 1980. Tom is admitted to the Pennsylvania courts, the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third and Fourth Circuits. Tom serves as a court-appointed arbitrator in Dauphin County. Tom received both his undergraduate and law degrees from Villanova University (B.A., summa cum laude, 1977; J.D., 1980). At Villanova, Tom was a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Pi Sigma Alpha. Tom is a member of the Dauphin County (President, 2007; Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee; Chairman, Young Lawyers Victim Witness Assistance Program, 1984-1985; Chair, Young Lawyers, 1987; Member, Pennsylvania (Alternative Dispute Resolution and Judicial Administration Committees) and American (Member, Tort and Insurance Practice Section; District Representative, Young Lawyers Division, 1985-1986; Chairman, Issues Affecting the Legal Profession Committee, 1985-1986; Crime Victims Services Committee, 1988-1989, Young Lawyers Division) Bar Associations; Defense Research Institute (Member, Practice and Procedure Section); Pennsylvania Defense Institute; and Association of Defense Trial Attorneys. Tom is a member of the Harrisburg Claims Association and the National Association of Subrogation Professionals.

Tom is married to Mary Small Brenner. They have five children and two grandchildren. Tom is a PIAA swim official and a FIFA soccer referee. Tom is active with the Camp Hill Aquatic Club and the Capital Area Swim League. He is involved with his church, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Mechanicsburg. He is a member of the West Shore Country Club and the Knights of Columbus.

He practices in the areas of Insurance Defense and Litigation, Negligence, Subrogation Law, and Civil Rights Law.
